This year we’re launching our Break The Silence campaign. The campaign centres around the issue that far too many of us still struggle to even say the word suicide out loud. But staying silent costs lives, every single day.
The 2022 winter campaign is inspired by our 'Lived Experience Panel' who told us that their most popular motivation for supporting Samaritans is to stop suicides from happening.
We’re encouraging the public to donate to make sure that when callers are ready to talk about their suicidal feelings, Samaritans can be here to listen.
During the festive period last year, our volunteers answered nearly 250,000 calls for help.
By asking for donations from the public, we can be here again this year around the clock, every day – and thanks to those donations we’ll be able to help even more people break their silence.
Donate now to keep Samaritans here for people to talk to this winter. Your gift could save lives, select your local branch and donate/break-the-silence/
