Welcome to Craigavon Samaritans
Who We Are
Craigavon Samaritans took its first call in 1975 and we are based at 162 Thomas Street, Portadown. From our base, we offer emotional support in person and by telephone. The phone lines are available 24/7 and the branch is open for face to face callers. Unfortunately if we don't have any volunteers on duty, we may not be able to see you in person.
We have over 60 volunteers and our volunteers are ordinary people supporting those struggling to cope, round the clock, every single day of the year. Our Branch is a community in its own right and reflects the diversity of the community our volunteers are drawn from.
An important part of Samaritans work is to reach out to people in the community and work with other organisations to raise awareness of what we do and to offer support. Please get in touch if you would like us to come to your office, company, school, college, sports club or community group.
All of the services and support we offer is provided by volunteers, and we are always looking for new volunteers to join our branch, and we run two training programmes a year. Please see the link below volunteer at this branch.
As a branch we are always looking for support locally so that we can be there, providing a safe place for people to be themselves and talk to us off the record about whatever is getting to them. There are so many ways you can raise money for our branch. We welcome all donations and community fundraising events. You can click on the "Donate" link at the bottom of this page and any donations will be extremely welcome.

Latest News
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Craigavon Samaritans have regretfully stopped all Face to Face contact with callers and all other visitors to the branch. We have also stopped all outreach work by branch volunteers within local communities, and postponed all volunteer recruitment and training, for the time being. We will update these website details when this situation changes.
