Taking his time in the Virtual Great North Run
Our intrepid runner Brian 651 just couldn’t resist it again. Age (78) has not brought wisdom and this year he ran 13.1 socially distanced miles locally for the Great North Run on Sunday 13th September. He was a bit disappointed that the Red Arrows didn’t turn out for him this year, however despite that little setback he covered those miles in a very respectable 2 hours 54 minutes. He said he couldn't stop drinking during the run - we think he meant water!
All to raise funds to help pay for the running of our branch and our many Outreach activities. It would be marvellous if you'd like to reward him for this magnificent achievement with a donation via our Virgin Money Giving page!
