Make sure to stop by and see our wonderful tree sponsored by the Eaton Estate.
The Chester & District Samaritans Christmas Tree is now ready for viewing at this year’s Chester Cathedral Christmas Tree Exhibition, which opened on 3rd December. Sitting pride of place in the Refectory, in front of an Art Installation of fallen leaves each inscribed with the word Hope – everything that we at Samaritans aim to allow people to find.
Our magnificent tree this year was kindly sponsored by the Eaton Estate in Chester, part of the Grosvenor Estate, and helping to decorate the tree was Kerri-Louise Davies, the Chair of the Eaton Estate Charity Committee. The estate chose Chester & District Samaritans as their adopted charity for two years. They have already been a huge support to us, especially over the last few months, and sponsoring a tree for us is a most welcome finale to this year!
Helping Kerri-Louise to decorate the tree was our very own Jane, with decorations provided by our Samaritans Friend Nicci. If you zoom into the picture of the tree, somewhere near the top and amongst the branches, you will see our Christmas Angel…lovingly placed there by a taller Cathedral volunteer!
Don’t forget to pop by the Cathedral and take a look at the exhibition. And let your friends and family know so they can take a look too.
We would like to give our very special thanks to Kerri-Louise and all at the Eaton Estate for sponsoring our tree, and for their ongoing and vital support they have offered us this year.
And of course, a Merry Christmas to you all!
