Volunteers, Friends, and Supporters of Samaritans met up to do a walk around Chester for Samaritans Awareness Day - 24/7
Out and About….Finally!
Chester Volunteers met up to do a walk around Chester to walk some of those miles of Julys’ Samarathon and to celebrate our Samaritans Awareness Day.
24th July is Samaritans Awareness Day…to remind everyone that our Volunteers are there to take your calls 24/7.
It was nice to finally be able to meet up for exercise and also some small talk too.
Luckily, we were blessed with a cooler day, so we could enjoy the beautiful views of Chester and the River Dee.
There was a selection of routes for all fitness levels…and there was definitely some Ice Cream!
Samarathon runs in July each year and is a great way to support your local branch and help us to be there to take calls from those people who need a space to talk.
Our Samaritans Awareness Day includes ‘The Big Listen’ and is a great way to help support people to be better Listeners and be there for friends and family.
We’re here 24/7 for people who need a space to talk.
