Cheltenham Samaritans and the Robins join forces
Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50. Sometimes men find it really hard to admit they are having trouble coping and can be reluctant to seek help, so we have joined forces with Cheltenham Town Football Club, known as the Robins, to raise awareness of the services the local branch of Samaritans can offer.
On Saturday 7th September, three days before World Suicide Prevention Day, the Robins are playing Stevenage at home. Various activities have been organised, including a collection at the ground.
It is a rare person who can go through life without having to face problems that can cause emotional stress or crisis and find the need to turn to another human being for support. It is easy to get in touch with the Samaritans by telephoning free on 116 123 or by face to face contact at our local branch; Victoria House, Back Albert Street, Pittville in Cheltenham, or emailing [email protected]. We are available day or night throughout the year.
