Our branch director joined the Friends of Cheltenham Samaritans at their AGM on Sunday, to thank them for their amazing fundraising work.
On Sunday night, the Friends of Cheltenham Samaritans held their AGM, and, true to form, it took place in a pub—the perfect setting for such a gathering!
This year’s AGM marked a significant moment as we saw the passing of the torch from Chairman to Chairwoman. Arlene has officially stepped into the role, and we couldn’t be more excited for her leadership moving forward.
We also want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to Leigh for everything he has contributed to the committee, not only as Chairman but as a true friend. Andy, the Director of Cheltenham Samaritans, presented Leigh with a beautifully etched beer glass as a token of appreciation for his dedication and hard work.
Don’t worry, though—Leigh isn’t going far! You’ll still see him propping up the bar at our February Craft Beer Festival.
Here’s to new beginnings and continued friendship!
P.S. Spot the personalised mugs in the photo below! Andy couldn’t resist the chance to celebrate those who’ve been part of the Friends of Samaritans for over 10 years. He handed out these special mugs to honour their dedication—a small but heartfelt "cheers" to their amazing commitment.
