World Suicide Prevention Day takes place every year on 10 September. This year, we attended a Remembrance Vigil to remember those we have lost to suicide in Bury.
Rebecca Jackson, founder of The Big Fandango, organized the Suicide Remembrance Vigil which took place in Kay Gardens, Bury, at 4: 30 p.m.
It was a poignant occasion, marked by a parade of 59 beautiful yellow flags to represent the 59 lives lost to suicide in the borough of Bury.
Over 100 people came together as a community to end the stigma and encourage conversations around suicide.
