Bury Samaritans is encouraging people in Bury to beat the winter blues by getting together for a warming cuppa on Mondays over the long cold months for Brew Monday.
Brew Monday kicks off on Monday 20 January 2020, the third Monday in January which is typically known as 'Brew Monday' for being the most difficult day of the year. We are turning the blues into brews, by encouraging friends, family and work mates to have a chat over a brew with someone who may be feeling lonely and in doing so raise vital funds for Samaritans. You can apply for your free Brew Monday fundraising kit here: https://www.samaritans.org/support-us/campaign/brew-monday/
On Monday 20 January Samaritans volunteers will also be providing free PG Tips tea bags to customers in Wax and Beans coffee shop on Haymarket Street in Bury from 10 a.m to 12 p.m. and Wellington Community Café (set within Manchester Road Park) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to pop in for a brew and a chat and we look forward to seeing you there!
