Samaritans Awareness Day is an annual event on 24 July to highlight our 24/7 service. To help raise awareness, Bury Samaritans completed a 26.2 mile 'Samarathon.'
This year's Samarathon was staggered across 2 days which started with a few Bury Samaritans completing an 8-mile walk on Sunday 17 July.
On Sunday 24 July (Samaritans Awareness Day), several volunteers completed the full 26.2 mile Samarathon around the Bury districts that we cover.
