Turn 'Blue Monday' into 'Brew Monday' on Monday 17 January with a cuppa and a catch-up!
The third Monday in January is sometimes referred to as ‘the most difficult day of the year’ so we say it's time to stop this myth about Monday being 'blue' and instead, start a conversation over a brew!
Samaritans is encouraging people to reach out and connect with family, friends, colleagues and loved ones for a catch-up and a cuppa throughout the month of January.
You can even host your own Brew Monday event with a tea-rrific range of free downloadable resources on the Brew Monday website !
To help raise awareness, Bury Samaritans volunteers talked all things 'Brew Monday' and mental health matters on Roch Valley Radio on Saturday 15 January. On Monday 17 January, volunteers also dropped off tea bags with our freephone number on at local organisatons, including Bury Active Women's Centre.
Whatever you choose to do, make sure to relax and have a brew (and even a biscuit or two!).
