Bury RUFC hosted a Christmas cracker of an even with 3 teams playing at home on Saturday 7 December!
Bury RUFC 1st & 2nd teams warmed up in Samaritans t shirts for their home game against Thornton Cleveleys and Rochdale 3. There was a huge buzz as players tucked into a well-earned post-match Christmas dinner and took part in a Christmas raffle to help to raise money for Samaritans. Raffle prizes included a generous dose of Christmas spirit (plus a couple of bottles of port) and £177 was raised for our branch! The star on top of the Christmas tree was Ben Holland who donated £438 to Samaritans in the raffle ticket auction for Sale Sharks tickets! Thanks so much to everyone at the club including Paul Kyle for helping us to organise the event, we are so grateful for the generosity shown at this crucial time of the year when callers need our support more than ever.
