Volunteers from Brighton Hove and District Samaritans welcomed neighbouring branches of Reigate and Eastbourne in joining us at both Trans Pride and Pride events recently.
Volunteers at pride 2024
On July 20th our volunteers set up the green gazebo in the New Steine Gardens in Kemptown and handed out information leaflets, sweets and smiles to the thousands of participants at Trans Pride. We had an extremely positive presence in the park from 10am through to 6pm, highlighting our services and our support of this event and community. 🏳️⚧️
Over ninety volunteers walked in the Pride Parade on August 3rd which was our biggest turnout to date. This is our fifth Pride and the reaction from the crowds was tremendous as we walked together, united in a sea of green showing our support and also the diversity of our volunteers, reflecting the diversity of our local, colourful community. 🏳️🌈
The weather was also kind to us this year! 🌞
