A lovely afternoon sharing a 'Cuppa, Cake and Chat' to celebrate and thank our current and honorary volunteers for all they give to our callers and Brierley Hill Samaritans.
On 4th June 2023, we gathered for a wonderful afternoon of Cuppa, Cake, and Chat, celebrating and expressing our gratitude to our current and honorary volunteers for their unwavering dedication to Brierley Hill Samaritans.
It was a chance to reflect on the incredible contributions made by our volunteers—supporting callers, mentoring new team members, and ensuring our branch remains a welcoming space for all who need someone to listen. The warm conversations, shared stories, and delicious treats made for a truly heartfelt gathering, reinforcing the importance of connection and appreciation.
To each and every volunteer—thank you for your kindness, commitment, and support. Your time and effort make a life-changing difference, and we are so grateful for all that you do.

The wonderful cakes and scones - yes with jam and clotted cream - before everyone started enjoying them. Now do we put the jam on the scone first or the clotted cream?

Volunteers diving in to taste the cakes and have a cuppa.

A massive thank you to Denise, a support volunteer, for organising and arranging the cakes and drinks for everyone - the cakes were amazing and as you may imagine, none were left over.

Samaritan volunteers are fantastic at listening, however when we're together oh yes, can we chat.
