On Saturday 16th October 2021, David Matthews who is walking over 6000 miles to visit all 201 Samaritans branches in the British Isles, visited the Boston Branch of Samaritans.
Covering the Boston, Spalding and Skegness areas, the Samaritans of Boston have been in the town centre for nearly 50 years.
Walking from the Kings Lynn branch, David was met by 3 Boston Samaritans Volunteers, Cheryl, Florian and Mark, at the Co-op store in Kirton to walk the 5 miles to the branch at the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre.
David arrived at the Boston branch for a cup of tea and cake at 2:30 pm with two more volunteers, Lorriane and Paula.
David is a listening volunteer at the Doncaster branch has already walked over 5900 miles. On top of this amazing feat, David then very kindly completed a listening duty.
David, having so far raised an incredible £20000 for Samaritans, continues to not only support people going through a tough time, which make his efforts even more special.
