The third Monday of every January is often referred to as ‘Blue Monday’, dubbed the most depressing day of the year. Of course, there’s no such thing; people can feel low on any day of the year, not just on a Monday in January.
That’s why Samaritans turn ‘Blue Monday’ into ‘Brew Monday’!
On Monday, 20 January, we will be at Bognor Regis and Chichester railway stations, handing out free tea bags and information leaflets to promote the importance of reaching out and connecting with others. Volunteers will be at both stations between 08:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. to chat with passengers.
Connect over a brew and raise money for Samaritans
If you would like to support the Samaritans, why not host your own Brew Monday event?
The Samaritans Brew Monday 2025 page has all the info you need to organise a great catch-up over a cuppa, including a list of downloadable resources you can use to promote your event.
You may choose to use your get-together to raise money for Bognor Regis, Chichester & District Samaritans, and in turn allow us to be there for someone going through a difficult time when they feel they have no one else to turn to.
You can also help us raise awareness by sharing your plans and activities on social media using the hashtag #BrewMonday.
