It was a joy to be visited by Alison Griffiths, MP for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, during our Tesco collection on Friday, 31 January.
Alison enthusiastically joined us in the chilly weather as we welcomed shoppers at the superstore on Shripney Road. She was thrilled to experience a collection and help us raise money for the branch. She found it fascinating to learn about all the hard work and dedication of our volunteers and how much we do within the local community. We spoke with her about our branch’s outreach work and recent events, such as Brew Monday.
Posting about the visit on Instagram, Alison said: “A wonderful morning with Paul, Joe, and Colin from our local Bognor Regis, Chichester and District @samaritanscharity branch to help raise money to support their vital work.”

We would like to say a huge thank you to Alison for her support. We loved discussing our work with her, and we are looking forward to welcoming her to the branch in the near future so she can visit the listening centre and meet even more of our incredible volunteers.
And, as always, we would like to thank the very generous members of the public who donated to us on Friday. It was a pleasure to chat with so many friendly people.
If you missed the collection and can spare a few pounds, you can always donate to Bognor Regis, Chichester & District Samaritans online. Your donations allow us to be there for more people in their time of greatest need.
