The Dassett Country Show organisers very kindly chose Banbury and District Samaritans as one of their beneficiaries for this year along with the Pam Britton Trust for Dementia.
The show was everything you could hope for in a rural comunity - flower and produce competitions, a multitude of stalls, falcons, bee keeping, dog display teams and lots more. The Spa Strummers ukelele players kept us entertained with foot tapping favourites and the food and drink on offer was terrific - we had to go back for seconds at the home made cake stall.
For us the highlight of the day was the dog show where our very own Penfold came first in the terrier group but then he's always been a winner to us.
