On Friday 17th May we celebrated our 50th anniversary in style at Banbury Town Hall with current and past volunteers plus some of our donors, supporters and sponsors.
Almost 100 people attended including the Town Mayors of Banbury and Brackley, members of the Humphris family who have supported us from the very beginning, and many more.
One of our amazing volunteers is also celebrating 50 years of listening at the branch and agreed to be interviewed about how things have changed during that time, from having a single phone with a local number to the gradual transformation to where we are today.
Entertainment was provided by singer / songwriter, raconteur and Samaritans supporter Matt McGuinness with everyone agreeing what a great night it had been as we were shephered out by Town Hall staff!
