As well as holding our 50th anniversary celebration our fundraising volunteers have been extra busy this month.
May turned out to be a bumper month for our fundraising team resulting in a happy branch treasurer.
The online auction for our neighbour David Beckham's signed and personalised shirt closed having raised over £600 in just two weeks. The successful bidder wished to remain anonymous but was "over the moon". Our greatful thanks go to David for his support and generosity.
The month also saw Sarah Millican's Late Bloomer Tour arrive at the New Theatre in Oxford where we were invited to hold a bucket collection after the Sunday show which raised in excess of £1,000 in a matter of minutes. The quiet support that Sarah gives to local Samaritans branches on her tours is truly amazing and we would like to thank her and her audiences who make such a difference.
