Sunday 14th July found a group of our volunteers in Peoples Park for the annual Banbury Town Mayors Fun Day and for once the weather was kind to us.
The many and varied activities saw a great turnout with visitors enjoying ferret racing, trying out axe throwing, trips on Lennie the Land Train, great food offerings, a dog show organised by Banbury charity Dogs for Good and so much more.
Due to popular demand our guess the crushed car competition returned attracting groups debating makes, models, marques etc with Tony Williams being the ultimate cash prize winner. The car was a red Vauxhall Corsa kindly supplied by Smiths of Bloxham who are great supporters of Banbury & District Samaritans.
We always enjoy this event, meeting so many people and hope to be back in July 2025.
