On 13th of May 2024, The Big Cycle, spearheaded by Paul Sutton, successfully raised €14,000 for East Coast Samaritans.
The event saw overwhelming support from the community, with numerous organizations and individuals sponsoring spokes and rallying behind the cause. The journey began in Cork, where Cork Samaritans branch provided invaluable support with a van and a heartfelt send-off for Paul and his team. Cycling through the night, Paul reached the Kilkenny branch, accompanied by two dedicated drivers.
The Kilkenny Samaritans branch offered exceptional support upon arrival to Kilkenny. Paul was warmly welcomed by volunteers from Arklow.
Upon arrival at the Old Ship Arklow, Paul was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd, celebrating his return. The event showcased the incredible kindness and support of the community, with meticulous planning by volunteers ensuring its success.
