Hello, How Are You? Mental Health Promotion Campaign by Mental Health Ireland. This initiative is all about connection and bringing back the meaning of saying Hello and asking How are You?
East Coast Samaritans were invited by Sylvia Scanlon to Newcastle Community Centre on Thursday 7th of April 2022 to help raise awareness of what Samaritans do. We set up a table and spoke to members of the public about what Samaritans do. There were also other services present including Alone, Wicklow Community Directory, Bray Area Partnership, HSE Mental Health Engagement, Mental Health Ireland, Wicklow Mental Health Association, National Learning Network, KWETB, Jigsaw and Cairdeas Bray. There was also information left for members of the public by GROW and Shine.
This community event was a fantastic way to network with other services available in the local area and we offered them pens, wristbands, cards and posters with the number 116 123 and our email [email protected]
We would like to express our gratitude for the hard work preparing this event from Sylvia. We were greeted by Sylvia and given our table and offered light refreshments. There was a free raffle organised by Sylvia and many of us won a lovely prize.
