East Coast Samaritans, a branch of the Samaritans charity that provides emotional support to anyone in distress, attended the A.C.E awards fair in Bridgewater Shopping Centre on December 14, 2023
Arklow Community Excellence (A.C.E.) seeks to recognize and reward Arklow's volunteering community. The A.C.E Community Fair aims to showcase Arklow’s Community Organisations that help to change and empower the people in our Community.
The A.C.E awards fair, which took place from 5p.m. to 8 p.m., in Bridgewater shopping center, Arklow, showcased the work and achievements of different groups and individuals who contribute to the Arklow community. The fair, organised by the Arklow Community Excellence (A.C.E) voluntary group, featured a variety of local community and volunteer organisations. East Coast Samaritans had a stall at the fair, where we shared information about the work Samaritans do and raised awareness among the public that Samaritans are available for anyone in need of emotional support.
The fair was a great opportunity for Samaritans to network with other stall holders and to promote Samaritan services and activities. The fair also helped to raise funds for the Samaritans, as well as for other local causes and charities. East Coast Samaritans would like to thank the A.C.E group for inviting us to the fair and for organising such a successful and enjoyable event.
