East Coast Samaritans, a branch of the Samaritans charity that provides emotional support to anyone in distress or at risk of suicide, are holding a quiz on Friday, 3rd of November
The quiz night will be a fun and challenging evening of trivia, music and laughter. The quiz master, Pat Power will entertain the crowd with his witty and engaging questions and comments. The quiz will cover topics such as general knowledge, history, geography, sports, entertainment and more.
The quiz night will feature a raffle with amazing prizes donated by generous local businesses and individuals. The raffle prizes include:
- An angle grinder donated by Topline Bolands, a hardware store that offers a wide range of products and services for home improvement, gardening, DIY and building.
- Two planters donated by Edel Healy Ballycoog, a florist and gardener who creates beautiful arrangements and designs for weddings, events and occasions.
- A cordless drill donated by Topline Bolands.
- A treat hamper donated by Supervalu Arklow, a supermarket that offers quality food, value and service to its customers.
- A painting by Deirdre O’ Donnell donated by Samaritan volunteer. Deirdre O’ Donnell is a local artist who paints landscapes, seascapes and portraits in oil and acrylic.
- Two Old Spice hampers donated by a Samaritan volunteer. Old Spice is a brand of men’s grooming products that offers a range of fragrances, deodorants, body washes and more.
- An Aveeno hamper donated by Allcare Wicklow Pharmacy, a pharmacy that provides health care products and services to the community.
- A Nivea hamper donated by Allcare Pharmacy Arklow.
- A cosmetic hamper donated by Allcare Wicklow Pharmacy.
- A pamper hamper donated by Adrain Dunne Pharmacy, a pharmacy that offers a variety of health and beauty products and services.
- Dada #8 Chocolate wine donated by Deck Coffee House
- A variety of delicious wine donated by A Taste of Italy wine merchants. Importers of fine Italian wines and coffee.
The raffle winners will be announced at the end of the quiz night and winners will receive their prizes.
