East Coast Samaritans joined Elavon Christmas market on 14th of December 2023 to showcase what Samaritans do and raise awareness that support is available to anyone that needs Samaritans anytime.
East Coast Samaritans, a branch of the Samaritans charity that provides emotional support to anyone in distress attended Elavon’s Christmas Market on 14th of December 2023. The event, hosted by Elavon, a global payments provider and subsidiary of U.S. Bank hosted a Christmas event for staff and their families. Elavon, an award winning company is recognised by businesses around the world as a leading provider of payment-processing solutions. They strive to deliver the highest standards of service and technology to every customer and, in pursuing that goal, their work has earned them recognition and accolades from across the industry landscape.
Volunteers from East Coast Samaritans showcased the work of the Samaritans and raised awareness among Elavon staff and guests of the importance to reach out for support when needed. We created awareness by giving out Samaritan material such as pens, wristbands and booklets about Samaritans and how to get in contact if anyone needs to.

The Christmas event, which took place at Elavon’s Arklow office, featured a stall by the East Coast Samaritans on the services offered, Staff from Elavon had the opportunity to make a donation to raise funds for the Arklow branch of Samaritans.
The event also hopes to encourage more people to support the Samaritans, either by volunteering, donating, or spreading the word that support is available for anyone that is going through a difficult time in their life. There were many other services together in a lovely big, bright room for the Christmas market showcasing what they have on offer including Pom pom Pirate, Trustwordie, Chris van Twisk Photography Elderberry Farm Produce @Bianca divito contemporary art glass, TasteofItaly.ie, First Choice Pharmacy, Tesco Arklow, Crannmor Pottery, Wicklow Farmhouse Cheese Stacey Gannon, Stacey's Healthy Treats, Lightworker Candles and Crystals, JB Fee Designs, Ludo massage studio We also had Mary Fleming Design wall planners available for sale.
